Pamela Wilson, LMFT
Understanding that making the decision to seek counseling can be difficult, I operate from a place of compassionate, directness, and non-judgmental. I like to help create an environment where you feel supported, inspired and heard while on your counseling journey.
In 2014, I began my journey working in the counseling field by helping children in the Family Court System and Juvenile Detention Centers. I discovered I had a passion for counseling and a natural rapport with people.
During my time as an intern and now as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have been exposed to a wide range of clientele and have come to realize my areas of expertise and my enthusiasm when working with clients therapeutically. I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with diverse backgrounds and ranges of concerns.
I currently focus my practice in helping adult individuals and couples to overcome anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, family changes, and parenting issues.
My education and professional background in both the mind and the body gives me a unique and effective approach to counseling. I work to provide clients with tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives. I have a master’s level education in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to becoming a counselor, I was a Licensed Cosmetologist, TSA officer, Juvenile Corrections Officer, and Military Sergeant.
I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and a certified member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). In addition to my license, I continue to educate myself by attending national and local conferences, while keeping up with current therapy research.
Outside of private practice, I work to give back to the community through organizations like, Give an Hour, CASA and Kappa Epsilon Psi military sorority.
